Common support questions
The connection to my server fails. What can I check?
First check the server address and port. SFTP usually runs on port 22, FTPS on port 990 and classic FTP on port 21. Also check in your hosting control panel whether SSH or SFTP is enabled for your account, and test your username and password there directly. If it still fails, email us the exact error message.
How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac?
Docklane is a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store. Sign in on the new Mac with the same Apple ID and download Docklane again from the App Store. You will not be charged twice.
Where do deleted files go?
Into Docklane's server-side trash. Deleted files stay there for 30 days and can be restored with one click. Only after that does Docklane clean up automatically.
Why does Docklane ask for access to my Downloads folder?
Docklane saves files you transfer from your servers to your Downloads folder and shows it as the starting point of the local file pane. That is why macOS asks once for this permission on first launch.
